It’s Week 3 of the NFL season, and the Pittsburgh Steelers are gearing up to take on the New England Patriots. After a disappointing home opener loss to the Seattle Seahawks, all eyes are on the Steelers’ defense to see if they can bounce back. In their last game, the Steelers allowed a whopping 395 yards, with Sam Darnold throwing for 295 yards and Kenneth Walker averaging 8.1 yards per carry. Not exactly the performance you’d want to see from your team.
On the other hand, the Patriots are coming off their first win of the season, a road victory against the Miami Dolphins. Second-year quarterback Drake Maye had a solid game, throwing for 230 yards and three total touchdowns. So, it’s going to be an interesting matchup between these two teams.
If you’re looking to catch the game, it’s scheduled to kick off at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday, and you can watch it on CBS or stream it on Paramount+ or NFL+. The Steelers are currently favored to win, according to BetMGM’s NFL odds, but we all know how quickly things can change in the NFL.
The Steelers have also received some good news on the injury front, with defensive tackle Derrick Harmon eyeing a return to the field in Week 3. And, in a interesting move, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin has kicked Kaleb Johnson off the return team. Guess we’ll have to wait and see how that plays out.
As for the rest of the NFL schedule this weekend, there are some great matchups to look forward to. The Atlanta Falcons are taking on the Carolina Panthers, the Green Bay Packers are facing off against the Cleveland Browns, and the Dallas Cowboys are going up against the Chicago Bears. Should be a fun weekend of football!
So, who do you think is going to come out on top in the Steelers-Patriots game? Can the Steelers’ defense turn things around, or will the Patriots’ momentum carry them to another win? Let me know your thoughts!
