Well, it looks like the Dallas Cowboys have got themselves a bit of a logistical headache on their hands. Thanks to an equipment malfunction at both Dallas airports, the team is being forced to rethink their travel plans for their Week 3 matchup against the Chicago Bears. According to reports, the issue is down to a problem with the TDMI data telecommunications service provided by Frontier, a local telecoms company.
The good news is that the Cowboys don’t play the Bears until 4:25 p.m. ET, so they’ve got some time to sort out their travel arrangements. But let’s be real, this delay could still cause some disruption to their pregame routine, and that’s the last thing they need. As of now, their original departure time of 3:30 p.m. local time is up in the air, and we’re still waiting to hear when they’ll actually be taking off.
On a more positive note, this weekend’s game against the Bears is being billed as a bit of a “revenge game” for the Cowboys. You see, their defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus used to be the head coach in Chicago, and he’s got a point to prove. Eberflus didn’t exactly have a stellar record during his time with the Bears, going 14-32 before getting the chop last season. But he’s not looking to stir up any drama, and is instead focusing on getting the job done on the field.
Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer, on the other hand, is keen to make a statement. He’s come out and said that he wants to win this game for Eberflus, and is even talking about presenting him with the game ball if they come out on top. “I think the best thing in the world would be for us to play well, win this game, and give Matt Eberflus the game ball after we play well and beat Chicago,” he said. It’s a nice sentiment, and you can bet that Eberflus will be fired up to take down his old team.
So, can the Cowboys bounce back from their recent setbacks and take down the Bears? They’ll need to get their travel arrangements sorted out first, but if they can do that, they’ve definitely got a good chance of coming out on top. With Dak Prescott leading the charge, they’ve got the talent and the firepower to take on anyone in the league. It’s going to be a tough game, but I’m backing the Cowboys to come out on top and improve to 2-1 on the season. Bring it on!
