The Buffalo Bills are off to a scorching hot 3-0 start this season, and it’s no surprise who’s leading the charge – reigning NFL MVP Josh Allen. This guy is putting up video game numbers, folks. He’s thrown for 755 yards with five touchdowns and rushed for another 114 yards and two touchdowns. But what’s really impressive is that he’s yet to turn the ball over. I mean, this is the same Josh Allen who used to be known for taking risks and making reckless plays. Remember when he had 18 interceptions in 2023 alone? Those days seem to be behind him now.
Colin Cowherd, the host of The Herd, is singing Allen’s praises, saying he might be the perfect quarterback. And I’ve got to agree, Allen’s transformation is nothing short of remarkable. Cowherd pointed out that since the start of last season, Allen has thrown 48 touchdowns with just eight giveaways. That’s insane. The Bills haven’t lost the turnover battle in a season and a half, which is 25 games. As Cowherd put it, “2025 Josh Allen shouldn’t exist.” He’s a quarterback who can make plays with his legs and his arm, and now he’s adding ball security to his repertoire. It’s a deadly combination.
In 2024, Allen had just six interceptions and lost two fumbles, which is a huge improvement from his early days in the league. His focus on ball security has allowed the Buffalo offense to soar to new heights. And what’s more impressive is that he’s still able to find explosive plays, which is why there’s no one like him in the NFL right now. I mean, the guy is a nightmare to defend. He can beat you with his legs or his arm, and now he’s being smart with the ball too.
It’s early in the season, but Josh Allen is making a strong case for another MVP award. And if he keeps playing like this, it’s hard to see anyone stopping him. The Bills are looking like a serious contender, and Allen is the main reason why. So, Bills fans, enjoy the ride, because your team is looking like a force to be reckoned with. And for the rest of us, let’s just appreciate the greatness that is Josh Allen. He’s a special player, and we’re lucky to be witnessing his prime.
