The Cincinnati Bengals are mourning the loss of Rudi Johnson, a fan favorite and one of the team’s greatest running backs. Johnson played for the Bengals from 2001 to 2007 and earned a Pro Bowl selection. His on-field achievements are still celebrated by the team and fans alike. He left a lasting mark on Cincinnati football.

Bengals president Mike Brown shared his thoughts on Johnson. He called him “a fine person and an excellent running back” loved by his teammates. Brown praised Johnson’s consistency and work ethic. He was a true workhorse who always delivered on the field.

Johnson’s career stats remain impressive. He ranks fourth on the Bengals’ all-time rushing list with 5,742 yards. He set the team record for most rushing yards in a single season with 1,458 in 2005. In 2004, he rushed for 1,454 yards, earning his Pro Bowl nod. Johnson also recorded 48 career rushing touchdowns, placing him third in team history.

Rudi Johnson’s impact on the Bengals will not be forgotten. His legacy as one of Cincinnati’s greatest running backs will live on. Fans and teammates will always remember his talent, dedication, and heart.
