Seattle Seahawks Injury Update: Running Back-Outlook Before New Orleans Saints Matchup

The Seattle Seahawks are looking to make it two wins in a row after a rough start to the season. They bounced back from a disappointing loss to the San Francisco 49ers with a solid win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, and now they’re gearing up to take on the New Orleans Saints.

The Seahawks’ offense was on fire against the Steelers, putting up 31 points and showing some real promise for the rest of the season. Sam Darnold threw two touchdowns and connected with six different receivers, despite tossing two interceptions. It’s a good sign for Mike Macdonald’s squad, and they’ll be looking to keep that momentum going against the Saints.

But the Seahawks are dealing with some injury concerns that could impact their game plan. Running back Zach Charbonnet is listed as doubtful, along with Devin Witherspoon, Julian Love, and Nick Emmanwori. Charbonnet’s absence will be felt, especially since he’s been a contributing factor in the run game so far this season. Kenneth Walker III will likely get the bulk of the carries, but not having Charbonnet on the field will put more pressure on him to perform.

The NFC West is shaping up to be one of the toughest divisions in the league, with the 49ers, Los Angeles Rams, and Arizona Cardinals all sitting at 2-0. The Seahawks need to keep pace if they want to stay in the hunt, and that means getting a win against the Saints.

The Saints, on the other hand, are still finding their footing under new head coach Kellen Moore. They’ve lost their first two games, including a close one to the Cardinals and a five-point loss to the 49ers. They’re a team in rebuilding mode, but they’re not going to go down without a fight. The Seahawks would be wise not to overlook them, especially since the Saints have already shown they can hang with some of the best teams in the division.

The Seahawks are heavily favored in this game, but they can’t afford to get complacent. The Saints may be a bad team this year, but they’re going to pull off some upsets, and Seattle doesn’t want to be on the receiving end of one of those. With Charbonnet likely out, the Seahawks will need to rely on other players to step up and fill the gap. It’s going to be a tough game, but in the end, I think the Seahawks will come out on top. They should improve to 2-1 on the season and set their sights on Kyler Murray and the Cardinals in Week 4. But don’t expect this one to be a blowout – the Saints will keep it close, and it could turn out to be a real nail-biter.
